Holiday Drinks

Tis’ the season!  You can feel the holiday spirit in the air and everyone is looking forward to those coveted days off from work and school to celebrate. Christmas and the New Year are all well anticipated and looked forward to for the entire year, along with good food, friends, and loved ones. Whether you are hosting a get together or joining one, many people often overlook alcoholic beverages when creating holiday menus and allow them to be an afterthought.  At the next holiday get together, ditch the beer and wine and dazzle everyone with a specialty holiday themed cocktail. Red Reindeer Punch


Champagne + floating raspberries.  Need we say more?



  • 1 bottle of champagne (extra dry)
  • 1 2L ginger ale
  • 1 12 oz bag frozen raspberries




Pour the bottle of champagne, ½ the bottle of ginger ale, and the bag of frozen raspberries into a pitcher.  Stir and let sit for at least 30 minutes prior to serving.


Christmas Cranberry Cocktail


A festive twist on holiday punch. This drink is fruity, flavorful, and fun for everyone (older than 21).



  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 2 tsp cranberry juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 oz. white rum
  • 1/2 oz. golden rum
  • 1 oz. dark rum
  • 1/2 oz. Bacardi 151




Pour everything into a cocktail shaker EXCEPT for the Bacardi 151. Shake thoroughly in the mixer. Pour over ice. Spoon the Bacardi 151 over the top so it separates from the drink. Garnish with a few cranberries.



Cinnamon Apple Mimosa


Like a dessert, but better. This drink is sweet, and pairs perfectly with the holiday season.



  • 2 tbsp. Caramel
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon sugar
  • 1 c. apple cider
  • 8 oz. caramel vodka
  • 1 bottle champagne
  • Apple slices, for garnish




Pour the caramel sauce into a small plate. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar onto another plate. Lightly dip the rim of the champagne glass into the caramel, then into the cinnamon. Pour Caramel Vodka and Apple Cider into the glass. Top your drink with champagne. Garnish with a sliced apple and enjoy!





Jolly Gingerbread Eggnog Cocktail


A Dessert cocktail that tastes like Christmas!



  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon for rimming glasses
  • 2 tsp. sugar for rimming glasses
  • 4 oz. eggnog
  • 4 oz. vodka
  • 4 oz. Kahlua
  • 3 tsp. 3 teaspoons molasses
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Molasses drizzle for topping




Mix the cinnamon and sugar on a plate and wet the rim of each glass. Dip the wet rim of the glass into the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Add ice, eggnog, vodka, Kahlua, molasses, and ginger to a cocktail mixer. Shake vigorously. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream. Garnish with a molasses drizzle.



Peppermint Kahlua Cocoa


Like a peppermint mocha, with an adult twist.




  • 1/2 c. whole milk
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1 candy cane
  • 3 tbsp. sipping chocolate
  • 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 oz. Kahlua
  • whipped cream
  • candy canes




In a medium sized pot, warm the milk and cream. Add one candy cane and stir until it is melted. Add the sipping chocolate while stirring. Add the vanilla extract while stirring. Take it off the heat and stir in the Kahlua. Pour into a glass, garnish with whipped cream and candy canes.



Winter Wonderland Sangria

A delicious winter substitute for our summer favorite, classic sangria.




  • 1 c. St-Germain liqueur
  • ½ c. superfine sugar
  • ¾ c. green grapes
  • 2 tangerines
  • ½ small ruby red grapefruit
  • 2 bottle Prosecco




Add the St-Germain Liqueur and superfine sugar to a medium bowl and whisk it together until the sugar has dissolved. Add all the fruit to the mixture and place it in the refrigerator until it is chilled. Spoon about a tablespoon of the chilled liqueur and some fruit into a wine glass and pour chilled Prosecco over. Serve cold.



Pomegranate Margaritas


Everybody loves margaritas and pomegranates. This one is perfect for winter because its festive, delicious, and easy to drink.





  • 1 can frozen limeade concentrate
  • 2 c. water
  • 3½ c. gold tequila
  • 2 c. pomegranate juice
  • 1 c. triple sec
  • 5 limes
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • 1 c. fresh pomegranate seeds (from 1 pomegranate)




Add the limeade and water into a large pitcher and stir until smooth. Add pomegranate juice, tequila, and triple sec. Slice a lime across the middle, cutting it in half. Take each half, and from the center of the lime, cut several small wheels. Next, take each lime wheel and make one slit so you can place it on the rim of a cup.
